Hello... I NEED HELP! When ever I try to get a model, it turns out to be 7z. The only 3D program I have is Blender cause my dad doesn't want to waste his money on Maya or Autodesk. Can you help? dry

A .7z is a compressed file.
You can extract files from the zip with winrar (google it) and afterwards open them in your 3d editing software.
Keep in mind that Blender can't open files with .max, .mb, .ma, .c4d and some other formats.

And you can download Maya and some other Autodesk for free, from their website, if you're a student.

turbosquid.com used to have a "lite" version of 3dsmax for free on their site, you could go see if that is still available. Then open and save as wavefront obj's I think. I am new here too so I am not positive if everthing will resave as wavefront or not. But the lite version of 3dsmax is fully function and does not have any restrictions except that you cannot use it commercially. Also it does not embed a logo either which is really nice.

Why not just stick with Blender? It can import most formats aside from .max or .ma -- and a good portion of the models here are in multiple formats that Blender can use.

Blender, Lightwave, Photoshop, Illustrator
